Fuel Saving Tips
Fuel Saving Tips
Regular Servicing will help towards increasing your cars fuel economy.
For drivers who cover an average mileage of approx 10,000 miles per year I recommend 1 full service and 1 mini Service at 6 month intervals.
Here are a few Tips which you can carry out for yourself.
(1) Check tyre pressures on a weekly basis.
(2) Keep your car as light as possible, don’t carry large amounts of clutter in the boot, remove that roof rack you fitted last summer.
(3)Drive on a light throttle ie don’t put your foot flat down every time you pull away rather pull away steady and use the gears changing up as sooner rather than later.
(4)In traffic and when its safe to do so apply hand brake and turn your engine off.
(5)Plan your journey, ie might a bus or train be quicker.
A well serviced car will run more efficiently and will therefore give more miles to the gallon .
We can come to you, change your engine oil and filter, change your air cleaner and replace your spark plugs, check your tyres, exhaust, lights and brakes, reporting any work we think may help your car to perform safer and more efficiently, you will by doing all or some of the above use less fuel therefore saving yourself cash in the long run.
We do highly recommend you always follow the manufactures service
intervals as laid out in your cars service book.
